Having graduated in 2007 with a master’s degree in finance, Emile Salame joined a top-tier investment bank in the city of London that same year. He gained a wealth of experience, having joined the company at the start of the financial crisis and witnessed its evolution. It was through this role that Mr Salame gained experience of how people and markets behave during turbulent times.
From 2007 to 2009 Mr Salame specialised in sales of foreign exchange products, before changing his focus to commodity products between 2009 and 2014. Serving clients across Europe and the Middle East, he joined the industry as an analyst and left as a vice president.
In 2016, Mr Salame started to work in a large hotel and resort located on the shores of the Mediterranean. In this role, he gained extensive experience dealing with clients and suppliers, managing teams, handling seasonality problematics, and staging daily and weekly meetings with heads of departments. Mr Salame was directly responsible for the business’s food and beverage division, which spanned five outlets, as well as having indirect oversight over the rooming division. During this period, he oversaw strategies to boost offerings, rethink the menus, work on the business’s website and more.
