ScottishPower Confirms Lowestoft as Long-Term Hub for Offshore Wind Operations with Major Investment
ScottishPower Renewables has officially designated Lowestoft as the central location for its UK offshore wind operations by acquiring a new site in the town’s PowerPark, thereby expanding its existing presence.
The company is committing approximately £8 million to purchase and develop the site on Trinity Road, which is currently occupied by RJ Pryce, set to relocate nearby. This new site will serve as a permanent base to support the execution of offshore wind projects in the East of England.
Strategically located close to the company’s operations and maintenance base for the East Anglia ONE offshore wind farm—situated on land owned by Associated British Ports at Lowestoft port—this site will operate under the existing 30-year lease.
The Trinity Road development is expected to accommodate around 100 personnel, primarily functioning as an operations and maintenance base for the East Anglia THREE offshore wind farm, which is currently under construction.
