Impax Asset Management has named Stuart White as Executive Director of Business Development. This is a smart move for the company’s senior leadership team as it continues to focus on sustainable investment.
Stuart will be in charge of coordinating Impax’s strategy and business development efforts, managing important client partnerships, and leading the ongoing development of the firm’s systematic equities commercial strategy from its London office in this new role.
Stuart joins from HSBC Asset Management, where he spent the last five years as Chief Executive Officer, UK, leading a business unit with c. £150 billion of assets under management. During his 15-year career at the company he held a number of roles, including: Chief Executive Officer, International; Global Head of Strategy, M&A and Chief of Staff; and Head of UK Institutional. Previously he held senior business development roles at Insight Investment and Threadneedle Investments. Stuart is a Non-Executive Board Director of the National Employment Saving Trust Corporation (NEST), the UK Government’s workplace pension scheme.
