Over 50% of UK Pension Schemes to Use Pension Fusion for Pensions Dashboards Connection

Ahead of the first pension schemes connecting to Pensions Dashboards in early 2025, over 40 organisations have selected Pension Fusion—the Integrated Service Provider (ISP) developed by ITM and Equisoft—as their method of connection. This positions Pension Fusion as the leading ISP in the UK, with more schemes choosing its technology than any other solution. At least half of all UK pension schemes are now expected to use Pension Fusion to upload their data to Pensions Dashboards, with further commitments anticipated.

Pension Fusion’s broad client base spans the pension sector, including FCA- and TPR-regulated providers, master trusts, third-party administrators, and single employer DB and DC schemes. Its technology is designed to work across all types of UK pension schemes—DB, DC, hybrid—and even integrates with AVC providers.

This diverse experience, combined with early adoption by several organisations and close collaboration with the Pensions Dashboards Programme (PDP), has allowed Pension Fusion to enhance its ISP offering. Notably, it developed a ‘Pension Values Engine’, designed to calculate values not typically held by providers and retrieve key data from AVC providers.

Pension Fusion’s ‘Advanced Matching’ tools ensure higher accuracy in linking scheme members to their pensions data, complying with the Pensions Regulator’s requirements. These tools help avoid issues like ‘Failed matching’ by surpassing the limitations of ‘binary matching policies.’

“Industry concerns have centered on the potential strain Dashboards could place on administration teams,” said Mark Lecompte, CEO of ITM. “Our smart and flexible matching tools have been proven to enhance matching rates and reduce inquiries from Dashboard users, easing the workload of administration teams. It’s encouraging to see our work supported by industry experts and regulatory bodies.”

Nick Meredith, Products Director of Equisoft, added: “From the outset, Pension Fusion has been a market leader in Pensions Dashboards connectivity. Through innovative technology and award-winning research, we’ve helped schemes understand the importance of a secure Dashboards connection that not only meets legal requirements but also delivers a positive experience for their members.”
