According to data from Stocklytics.com, Apple generates an astounding $2.38 million per employee, leading the pack ahead of Microsoft, NVIDIA, Amazon, and Alphabet. These figures highlight Apple’s unmatched efficiency and profitability in a fiercely competitive industry.

Apple Makes 15% more Per Employee than NVIDIA, 25% more than Alphabet, and 2x more than Microsoft

The world`s biggest tech companies, Microsoft, Nvidia, Apple, Amazon, Alphabet, and Meta, have seen an astronomical rise in revenue and profits over the years, fueled by growing demand for digital services and cutting-edge technology. While all these tech giants post impressive numbers, the rivalry between Apple and Alphabet stands out.

Last year, Alphabet overtook Apple to become the most profitable GAFAM company, with a net income of $94.2 billion, up 41% year-over-year and just 0.5% higher than Apple’s. However, when it comes to revenue generated per employee, Apple outperforms not only Alphabet but all its peers, showcasing its exceptional efficiency and returns on talent and innovation.

According to a Statista survey, Apple generated a staggering $2.38 million in revenue per employee in 2024, far more than any other tech giant. Meta and NVIDIA were the only other companies crossing the $2 million mark. Meta`s revenue per employee stood at $2.19 million last year, while NVIDIA ranked third with $2.06 million, or 15% less than Apple.

The gap widens even more when comparing Apple to other tech giants. For instance, Alphabet generated $1.91 million in revenue per employee, or 25% less than the iPhone maker. Microsoft trailed even more behind with $1.08 million, less than half of Apple’s figure.

The difference is even bigger outside the main tech companies. Statistics show that Tesla, the world’s most valuable carmaker, generated $780,000 in revenue per employee, while Amazon, the leader in ecommerce, reported just $410,000. That makes Apple’s efficiency three to five times higher than two of the world’s most recognizable brands.

In Just 17 Seconds, Apple Earns What the Average U.S. Worker Makes in a Year

As the most capital-efficient company in the tech sector, Apple continued to deliver substantial profits in 2024. Despite a modest 3% year-over-year decline, its net income still reached an impressive $93.7 billion, closely following Alphabet, the most profitable company in the GAFAM Group.

This figure is even more impressive when broken down into smaller time scales. Based on its annual profit, Apple earned around $178,200 per minute and an astonishing $2,971 per second last year. To put that into perspective, the company made in just 17 seconds what the average U.S. worker earns in an entire year, around $50,000.
