Following five successful years as a franchisee, Steve Robinson—once an IT Project Director and now a thriving business owner—has renewed his agreement with property damage claims management franchise Aspray and expanded into a second territory.
Launching Aspray Sheffield North in 2020, Steve scaled his business from scratch to over £800,000 in annual turnover. With demand continuing to rise, he has now secured a new five-year deal and will operate under the broader name of Aspray Sheffield, covering both north and south of the city.
“I have just completed 5 years as an Aspray Franchisee.
Running my own business during this period has been hard work and challenging at times but it is also both enjoyable and extremely rewarding. I don’t think I could have chosen a better Franchise that matches me and my skills so well.
All this has helped me make the exciting decision to expand my territory for the next 5 years into the whole of Sheffield, and I look forward to the additional challenges this will bring,” said Steve Robinson.
A Successful Transition from Corporate Life to Business Ownership
Before joining Aspray, Steve enjoyed a successful career in IT project management. Seeking greater independence and the chance to build something of his own, he chose the Aspray franchise for its strong business model and comprehensive support.
Key highlights from Steve’s first five years include:
• Growing a start-up operation to over £800,000 in annual turnover.
• Receiving extensive support from Aspray’s Head Office to grow and manage the business.
• Delivering vital help to property owners in need following insurance claims.
• Building a trusted network of professional contractors.
• Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through restoring damaged properties.
Reflecting on his experience, Steve added, “Helping customers in their time of need has been one of the most satisfying parts of this business. You’re not just restoring a building, you’re helping people rebuild their lives.”
A Growing Opportunity for Professionals Seeking Change
Aspray is currently recruiting new franchisees across the UK and is particularly keen to hear from individuals with project management, quantity surveying, property, or construction experience.
The Aspray business model enables franchise owners to manage insurance claims on behalf of property owners, project-manage repairs, and ensure fair settlements, providing vital support to customers during what is often a stressful and challenging time.
Steve Robinson’s success story highlights the strong opportunity available for career changers looking for a business model that combines financial potential with personal satisfaction.
