Evelyn Partners, soon to be rebranded as S&W, has appointed several experienced professionals to its growing debt advisory division. The new hires include Lachlan Dorrity as Director, David Ramsey as Assistant Manager, and Katherina Zeal as Assistant Manager, all joining the company’s London office.

With more than 10 years of experience in the debt advisory field, Lachlan Dorrity comes to Evelyn Partners from Clearwater, where he served as a director for nearly seven years. Prior to that, he worked in debt advisory at Grant Thornton for over four years and spent six years in restructuring advisory at KPMG, where he earned his ACA qualification. In his new role, Lachlan will provide strategic advice on sponsor-backed mid-market transactions, helping clients raise funds in complex financial markets.

Commenting on his move, Dorrity said “I’m delighted to join an entrepreneurial and growing team working with some of the UK’s most exciting high growth companies and mid-market sponsors. This is an exciting time for the professional services business, with strong growth plans and significant opportunity in the mid-market.”

David joins as assistant manager having spent nearly four years at UK advisory firm Blick Rothenburg within its FCA auditing team working with regulated venture capital and private equity firms. David is ACA qualified and graduated from Durham University. In his new role, he will act as an adviser to businesses of all sizes.

Katherina joins as assistant manager having spent four years at KPMG within the banking and financial services audit team working on the audits of a number of the UK’s largest financial services companies. Katherina is ACA qualified and graduated from Exeter university. In her new role, Katherina will focus on advising a range of the team’s private and sponsor backed corporate clients.

The new joiners follow the appointment of Fenton Burgin as partner in September 2024 to significantly expand the debt advisory team at Evelyn Partners. With more than 30 years’ experience, Fenton has advised on over £20 billion of debt facilities across the UK, Europe and the US and served a broad range of public and private mid-market companies, institutions and investors. The team at Evelyn Partners is also a member of the Oaklins International network, one of the world’s most experienced mid-market M&A and debt advisory practices.

Fenton Burgin, partner, who leads the debt advisory team at Evelyn Partners commented: “I’m excited to welcome Lachlan, David and Katherina who are the latest additions to our expanding debt advisory team, bringing with them a wealth of experience. Their joining ensures we can continue to fulfil the demand we are seeing from clients for independent, conflict free debt advice across a broad range of lenders and investors in the UK mid-market.

Burgin continues: “We have strong growth plans for our debt advisory practice in 2025 to further accelerate and expand our market leading team focused on supporting ambitious businesses and securing the very best outcomes for our clients.”
