Robert Walters Group is proud to announce its new partnership with the globally renowned theatre, The Old Vic,  as the Production Sponsor for its upcoming production of Sylvia – opening on 27 January.

The partnership signals an ongoing commitment from the global recruitment consultancy towards the creative industries – as well as to those organisations who continue to champion inclusivity, a sense of belonging, the removal of barriers for individuals in society, and accessibility in hiring.

Sylvia, featuring British musical star Beverley Knight MBE as Emmeline Pankhurst, follows the revolutionary life of Sylvia Pankhurst, played by Sharon Rose, –  feminist, activist, pacifist, socialist, rebel – and her role in the Suffragette movement.

Coral Bamgboye – Head of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at Robert Walters Group comments:

“Empowering individuals to reach their uniquepotential lies at the crux of everything we do at Robert Walters Group and so it is a pleasure for us to be partnering with The Old Vic and supporting their upcoming production of Sylvia – a performance exploring the inspiring life of suffragette Sylvia Pankhurst and more importantly the way in which she helped to change the lives of working women and men across the world.

“The mission for equality and inclusion is nowhere near complete, and we proud to partner with an organisation on a similar journey in educating themselves and improving their own practices internally.”

Opening on Friday 27 January, Sylvia will run for just over two months – with a night for press being held on 14 February.

Founded over 200 years ago, The Old Vic has been a vanguard of British not-for-profit theatre and a staple institution for theatre-goers for centuries – maintaining core values of bringing community, accessibility and inclusivity to the arts.

The partnership between Robert Walters Group and The Old Vic symbolises a powerful force for the local community at the heart of which is a celebration of inclusivity as well as individual talent.

Laura Stevenson – Executive Director at The Old Viccomments:

“The Old Vic is delighted to be partnering with Robert Walters Group on our upcoming production of Sylvia. Robert Walters Group share our passion and excitement for this vital and uplifting production which provides a platform for important conversations around equality and draws attention to an important historical moment.

“We are really pleased to be working with them as our Production Sponsor, given our shared commitment to diversity and inclusion in our respective industries, and look forward to learning from each other as we develop our partnership.”
