This year’s research has revealed that although Cornwall remained in the top spot like last year, Devon has lost its title to destinations further North.

According to the research, Lancashire and the Lake District are actually in joint second place given that both destinations had a staggering 60% increase in online searches in 2021 for 2022 holidays.

Online searches for holidays in Yorkshire this year went up by 57% compared to last year, placing it in fourth position. It goes without saying that Yorkshire is a great place to explore, especially if you like cycling or hiking with the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors being great places to do this.
