‘Get Ready to Study’: INTO University Partnerships’ New Programme for International Students
INTO University Partnerships, a global educational partnership leader, has launched a new programme called ‘Get Ready to Study’, aimed at supporting international students before their arrival in the UK.
The ‘Get Ready to Study’ programme is an online course that equips international students with crucial academic and personal tools, facilitating a seamless transition to higher education and preparing them for life in the UK.
David Rafferty, Director of Technology Enhanced Learning at INTO University Partnerships, commented: “Studying abroad can evoke a range of emotions for students—excitement, anticipation, and perhaps a hint of nervousness. That’s why we’ve developed the Get Ready to Study online pre-arrival programme. It’s our commitment to empowering students to embark on their UK academic journey with confidence, equipped with the knowledge and resources they need to thrive.”
The programme is freely available to all UK-bound students who are completing a pathway programme at any of INTO’s Centres, where they are prepared with necessary academic and English language skills.
Students are automatically enrolled in the ‘Get Ready to Study’ programme and are sent a link to access it one month before the commencement of their course. The programme offers personalised content that introduces students to their specific Centre and includes engaging activities and guidance aimed at enhancing their academic and digital literacy. The programme is structured into three core modules:
Life in the UK
This module provides crucial insights into what students can expect from their study abroad experience, including adapting to British culture, exploring local attractions, and making the most of their time at the centre. It also provides information about the INTO centre facilities and the induction timetable.
Study Skills
The second module introduces important study and digital literacy skills that will be utilised during their time at INTO, at their selected universities, and throughout their careers. It covers creating a conducive study environment, strategies for handling assessments, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Employability
The final module outlines how students can access the necessary tools, resources, and support from their centre to boost their career prospects and professional development, including work placement and employment opportunities.
